Cleaned up a bit of the studio yesterday. Dug out the pastels I made last Christmas. The ochres I used  are natural. I collected them from the land and  pulverized them to get as much pigment as possible. Some of the color was purchased. The natives use the ochre pigment for their face paint. I had planned on doing a series of Writing On Stone images using the natural hand made pastels. Now is as good a time as any to revisit this idea.

Re-arranged the pastel tray AGAIN. This is such a fun exercise for me when I'm avoiding doing something productive.
