I thought I would post my daily thumbnail practice. I really enjoy doing these. It is very satisfying to see a mini version of what could be painted. This is a composition exercise that works wonders only if you stick with the same proportional canvases as your thumbnail.

I am really having a hard time getting past the whole color thing. The more I concentrate on black and white I get frozen with color mixing and getting mud. I am going back to organizing my pastels, this time into warm and cool colors. Now I'll be practicing monochromatic color schemes for awhile until I feel more comfortable mixing again.
