My journey through colored dust

The lesson learned today. I was using up some of my old drawings from school, since they were on good drawing paper, I could still utilize them as substrate for practice color sketches. Unfortunately when there is underlying texture from previous paint/ink drips, it kind of gets in the way of the overall look of the sketch. Even though I'm using them for just practice, I will never achieve the same look again when and if I decide to do another piece. The horizontal drip lines are impossible to cover up, so it is what it is. I will not be using this "textured" paper again, unless I am experimenting abstractly. Live and sometimes learn.
