It's a start

I don't know where the time goes. I have now started painting after a hiatus. I am trying new boards, different techniques and basically back to practicing. Here are some of my quick attempts at color sketches. Not taking much time with planning or execution. Just putting color on paper. Then ruining the whole look by trying to fix pastel on Masonite Board. I really do not like the darkening effect of the fixative. I am trying different mediums so that I can find something that works for a large finished piece on Masonite. I really want to try and get away with not framing with glass but I'm afraid that will be an impossibility!
