Some things go horribly wrong, while other days are glorious right. It is all in the mindset I'm guessing. As always. I should never sign the bad ones. But then again, I shouldn't post them either. But is shows a process and not all work is a masterpiece. Keep plodding through. It is the good ones in which give you motivation to continue with this exhaustive process.

This piece was a quick response to a posting of the worlds' ugliest color. It doesn't show here in digital, but the classical greenish umber was stated as the worlds ugliest color. Although not really saleable, it is needed in paintings. I thought I may try to beautify it a bit by doing a value study of sorts. Although not beautiful it does have kind of an unsettling quality to it. Sometimes it looks too real, as in a warm winters day in a southern Alberta landscape.
